Bar Mitzvá: Jason Hodes

Este Shabat, el joven Jason, hijo de Erick y Shayna Hodes, será llamado por primera vez a la Torá asumiendo de esta forma su condición de adulto en el seno del pueblo judío.

Compartimos unas reflexiones de Jason sobre el significado de su Parashá:

Sometimes people interpret Jacob´s struggle as a fight against his own problems and choices. For me, becoming a bar mitzvah is an example of this type of struggle. It takes a huge commitment to study and go to Talmud Torah and to fight the conflicting urge to do other things that I would rather be doing such as playing video games. In the end this struggle, has made me a better person. In addition, learning the Torah has provided me with knowledge about the historical roots of our ancestors.
